My Dear Robert,
The old year is
gone with all its events, into
past times, and we have entered
upon the New Year frightened
with events yet future, and how
will these events affect us? The
curtain is dropped and time alone
will tell what is beyond.
I would not dare to take a peep
beyond the screen least I should
be unnerved for those trials that
await me. Cap left this
morning, Valerie still with
us, it has quit raining at last,
the roads are frozen hard but very
rough. We have been having a
series of meetings at our church
which commenced the middle
of last week our Methodist and
Handwritten; 4 pages, double folded, pencil on white stationery with light blue lines
