on the subject, I telegraphed Genl. Halleck
as followed.
“Please advise as to Genl. Milroy
“who is now engaged at Bedford or that
“neighborhood in Genl. Couch’s Department
“Genl Couch telegraphed me that he cannot
“be relieved at present unless ordered from
“Washington.
