My Dear Mary
I recd some letters enclosed
from you a few days ago, & on yesterday
recd Ella’s pretty little letter of the 5th inst. I
am very much pleased with her improve-
ment in writing. Her hand writing is realy
beautiful. But for her own good she must
alow me to criticise a little. She does not
punctuate her writing any. She must
learn to do this. And in speaking of no
ice being on the River or Mill race, she
spelled the word race “rase”. Tell her
to look at the dictionary & see what
“rase” means. I hope Val, Walter & Brucey
will give me specimens of their writing
soon. Enclosed I send you deed I
recd yesterday from Bro. Jim. It is for a
piece of land sold to Rinehart at Grime’s sale
that belonged to Almira A. Grimes & Rineharts
title will be no account till he gets a quit claim
deed from all of her heirs & sign it under my
name & then have Dwiggens or Jackson to take
Handwritten; 1 sheet, 2 sides of writing; white stationery with light blue lines
