A small detachment of 1st
N.Y. Encountered a body of
rebel cavalry at White Post
supposed to be advance of
force met by 12th Pa on Front
Royal Road. Two of 1st N.Y.
wounded & one missing. One
rebel killed & some wounded
a large rebel wagon train with
strong cavalry force was discovered
on Cedar Creek or back road
this morning. Have sent out
Handwritten; 2 separate sheets; white telegraph paper
