It still
Continues intensely cold.
We are all well excepting
Walter, his bowels have been
out of order for some time so
that I have had to be up with
him for 3 to 5 times these
cold nights. He is lively and
playful and has been going
to school most of the time, but
I can see that he looks consider-
ably thinner and paler.
The boys presents have been a
great treat to them – they have
been bringing boys home from
school every day to show them
It keeps us busy to keep warm
this cold weather. I pitty the
poor that are not provided for
it, and the poor soldiers how
