Transcript	WAR DEPARTMENT Washington City February 12th 1864 Sir, The Secretary of War directs me to inform you that, that in obeying orders to attend upon the different Military Courts men tioned in your communication, you perfor med duties appropriate to and belonging to your position as an officer, and that you are thereby relieved from the operation of the limitationsof the six months fixed by Section 20, Act of Congress passed Aug ust 3rd 1861.
