We have been waiting to
get a letter from you but have come
to the conclusion that your letters are
water bound for we see in the papers
that the water is very high in Tenn.
as well as in other places. We have had
coald rainy windy weather this month but not
so much rain as to raise our river
so excessively high. We are all well, Ma has
got to be pretty smart a gain Brucy’s
sholdier has got to be pretty well so that
he can use his arm pretty free but
Ma still has him carry it in a sling
until it gets perfectly strong. Renselaer
wags along about the same old way. they
get coal oil out on Mr. Babcocks farm
about one barrel a day, and have bored
