Transcript	Colemans Eutaw House Baltimore, July 13th 1863 My dear Mary, I am still here. My arrest expired by limitation a week ago yesterday and no charges have been made against me. I cannot again be arrested for the same matter. The truth is the brute Halleck found he was barking up the wrong stump and that he has no ground for charges against me, but having a great hate for me, and having got me out of command as he has Freemont, Cash, Clay Sigel, Butler, Lew Wallace and several others, he will not again put me in or restore me to command if he can help it, and I very much fear that Old Abe has not moral courage enough to make him do what
