	It is summoned that you will 
 soon reorganize to some extent the army 
of the Cumberland. If such should be the 
case I would respectfully ask that I may not 
be overlooked. I think I have done penance 
long enough in the year of your glorious fighting 
to atone for sins past & prospective. The terms of some of the 100 days 
troops have all expired or they have you have & my scattered RR 
grand does not now ans. to a respectful Comd 
for a bridagire- that portion of the RR under 
my Comd is safe & I am not needed here. 
 
 
 
Some of your division commanders need rest of 
ought to be willing to stand back a while & give others a chance.
