My Dear Robert
This is the 30th of
July. I dated this letter on Monday
and thought I would then
write to you but was suffering
so much from pain and
inflamation in my right
ear, that I gave up the effort.
On Sabbath night I could
hardly get my head in any
position to rest and sleep
it was like a painful boil.
It is now much better but
still quite sore, on Monday
evening my Girl left me.
on Tuesday I was quite busy
ironing baking and
sundry other duties. My ear
still quite painful considerably
inflamed and swelled, could not
