Transcript	Rensselaer, Ind. October 21st 1864 My dear Robert, We are feeling good over the election. I would have felt exceedingly bad if Colfax had been beaten by that miserable Trudy, these important times, we cannot spare good, true, and tried, men. Last night Ella and I was on our way to prayer meeting and met a boy who gave me a free ticket to the lecture at the court-house with the compliments of Maj. Shafer who said that he had been with you in Va. and was going to lecture
