I am directed by the Secretary
of War to acknowledge the receipt of your letter of the 12th inst.
asking for an amendment in the directions given to the
Court of Inquiry instituted by the Special Orders No. 346 Cur-
rent series, and to inform you that as the order is deemed
sufficiently full and comprehensive, no necessity is seen for the
change proposed.
