I am surprised
that I have not recd a line
from you since I left you.
I have been expecting a letter
from you daily for weeks &
am getting to feel uneasy &
fear you or the children are
sick. It is now nearly a
month since I left home &
I have not heard a word from
you since I left you. You
surely would not neglect writing
so long unless something was
the matter. Don’t keep me in
suspense this way. Cicero has
not written me as he promised.
Told him he must not
neglect writing as he has heretofore.
