My Dear Robert, 
 
 
 
	I received your letter of  
Feb 25th on the 3rd of this month. I have not  
received that letter containing 50 dollars to  
which you refered yet – I went to the Post Master  
and inquired particularly about it, he says that  
he does not know anything about it. How did  
you send it? Did you express it? I hope it  
may come to hand. I have just returned  
from town. I was up to Cicero about getting  
me another supply of flour, and got the  
La Porte Herald which Irwin brought from  
that place containing a letter from Copp  
which I will send you.  
 
 
 
Copp says if we could get rid of our present  
Colonel and our Regimental Surgeon, the 9th  
would be likely if officered with such men as Gen. Milroy  
and Dr. Meeker to go ahead again on its  
March of success and honor, have you not  
got your eyes opened yet to see Moody,
