Governor of the state of Indiana, and commander-in-chief of the militia thereof.
To all who see these Presents, Greetings:
KNOW YE, That in the name and by the authority of the State
aforesaid, I do hereby appoint and commission R. H. Milroy
to the office of Aid de Camp with rank of Colonel to in
the Governor (stricken: Brigade of Indiana Militia.)
In Witness Whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and
caused to be affixed the seal of the State at the City
of Indianapolis, this 15th day of January
SEAL in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred
and sixty one , the forty fifth year of the State,
and of the Independence of the United Sates the
eighth fourth.
