ARMY OF THE CONFEDERATE STATES
Private Wm Yarbrough of Captain J. Dickey
Company (G) of the 4 Ala Batallion of Confederate States (Army) was enlisted by
Capt. Laylon of the 4 Ala Batalion of Vols
at Memphis, Tenn on the 10th day of August 1861 to serve
1 years. He was born in Lincoln Co. Tenn in the State of Tennessee
is 16 years of age, 5 feet 6 inches high, fair complexion, hazel eyes, light hair,
and by occupation when enlisted a fastener. During the last two months said soldier
has been unfit for duty 60 days.

We certify that we have carefully examined the said Wm Yarbrough of
Captain J. Dickey’s Company, and find him incapable of performing the duties of
a soldier, because of Incipient Pthisis Pulomonalie
and recommend that he be discharged
from service
