Rensselaer, Ind
Dec. 18th, 1862
My Dear Robert
I received yours
of the 10th last Sabbath, the day was
very rainey and disagreeable
for Mrs. Hinkles funeral, but not
withstanding the rain and mud
there was a pretty fair turnout at
the Methodist Church. I cannot
brag of the sermon for it did not
suit my tast for the occassion.
Mr Davies was kind enough to
give me his seat in his buggy
with his wife while he took
the mud. Hinkle has gone to
Ohio to bring his mother to
keep house for him.
Dr. Laughridge and Can Powers
were married last Monday
evening and are now board-
ing at Wm Hopkins.
