GENERAL ORDERS

I - 1st Lieut A.R.Buffington, of the Ordnance Department, having reported to these Head-Quarters, he is hereby announced as Chief Ordnance Officer of the District.
II – In accordance with paragraph VI, of General Order No. 1, - current Series – from these Head-Quarters, Ordnance officers of Divisions and separate Detachments will make requisitions, &c, at Wheeling, Va.
III – At once, on the receipt of this order, the Ordnance Officers of Divisions and separate Detachments, will make to him, a full report for the month of October, stating the kind, quality and condition of all arms and Ordnance Stores in their Commands. When the caliber is not known, they will state the name of the arm. Hereafter, these reports will be made to him regularly at the end of each month.
