coats and furnished with the
countersign to pass the Pickets
and patrols and with the fastest
horses in the south are to come
in to your Head Qrts, and
capture you (or in the event of
a failure to do that to kill you
I suppose) they will be supplied
with all the necessary information
by a traitor in our midst who
has been promised high honors
and plenty of money to accomplish
it (this may seem to you as someth
ing impossible but I have every
confidence in it for a I know the
Capt that will command the men
will dare everything to accomplish
his purpose
