I received yours of Mar 25th

to receive a letter from you and I feel very
thankful for the good health you enjoy, and
hope if you survive the war, that you will
enjoy much better health than you have
yet had since you have been mine.

brother John is at home again for the purpose
of restoring his health, poor John, he has had a
hard time of it, he has not had good health
since he has been in the service.
Little Bruce is getting over the mumps. the
swelling is considerably reduced this morning
he has not been much sick with them but his
face was a sight. Ben has been quite sick
with them, he is getting well, going about this
morning doing light turns. We had quite an
acceptable addition to our family yesterday
morning in the shape of a calf. Our little cow
