My Dear Robert
I have been
waiting long and anxiously
for a letter from you. home is
quite lonely to me when I am
not Cheerd by a letter from
you. the last one I received
was the one you wrote at Grafton
the 16th of Nov. I had lost track
of you since you started to
Cunberland Md. untill
today. I saw in the Cin. Gazette
which I now take a letter from
Dux” written at New Creek
in which he speaks of you. –
Hark! the hack horn I hear. it is
certainly a welcome sound to
me when I am looking
