Transcription	June the 15 169 Carver Hospital Washington DC Dear Mother I seat myself this morning to rite you a few lines to let you Know How i am getting along i have the sore eys very bad and have not been able for duty for over one month my are not so well to day as thye have been the sun is shining very warm and the light hurts them very mujch i hope that when you get those few lines that they weill find you all well Mother i can see alittle right close to me but over 10 or 15 steps i cannot see any thing to tell what it is my eyes are granulated and very painfull i want you to send me ananswer as soon as you get this and if it is in your
