Kingston January the 18 1860 Dear Sister We now drop you a few lines to inform you we are all in comon health hoping When thees lines may come to hand you all may be well I have nothing of much importance to inform you of We received a letr from Kentuck a few days since that infars us that Our friends thare is all well And I have been informed that Betsy Duncan had the misfortune to have hr her hause burnt down and Jacob Duncan was caried from the flames and died the 10 day aftr whi ch ,was the 15 of Decembr and was beried at Shelbyville his Funeral was preach ed from the 14 chaptr of Jobe and 10 verse I am very ancious to see you ar hear from you Thare is a doctr in our launds from Newyork who has been treating with Thomas for some time and We are much inhaps that he is steadily on the mend and I am very very very ancious for you sistr and Wirlm J [Crossed Out] Nichols and his wife to come if you posibly can and I think that she might receive greate benefit from it it thare has been three women doctored for a similer complaint of yours and of them has been confined to her bed for 5 years and now she is able to be
