Transcription	March the 7 1576 Bland insvill Dear mother I seet my self to in form you that we are all well at presant hoping thes few lines may find you well I don't know that I can inters you ageat deal but I will try and make those lines as interesting as I can wear having avery backward it is cold and wet and there is but little farming don get in our part times is hard and money skerse produce of all kinds and cateables ar plenty and to there is nothing much to be mad hear now at any thing corn is from 8 to 10 cts per bu wheat from 35 to 50 cts per bu flour from $2:00 to 2:50 per hundrerd bacon 5 cts per pound and hogs on foot from one f 150 to 175 per hunderd catle 3 cts on foot now I will let you know how louesy is getin along with hir hip is very lame and there is a place swelled abou half way letee the hip and nec goint about the sise of my fist and lookes rite purple I don't think that she will ever youse it any more and youse it rite I have commenced with a doctor that in Bloomington I don't know whether it will amount to any thing ar not now you rote to me that you had 40 dolars to let me hav I will send you the note and you can send me the money by male at my risk so fair you well P and M H Nichols Sarah Nichols
