Transcription	Febuary the 7 1866 Dear sistr it is with much pleasure I most earn est ly desier to drop you a few lines to inform you of my situation my health is as good as I can hope but as I have past the frost of many wintrs I am feeling the efects from it and I am most hopefull when Thees lines may Come to hand you may be enjoying good health my family is in as good health as usual I have not had no informati on of you for a long time which has caused me many warysom hours it would give me unkown joy if we could but spend a few of the gonby days We are yet enjoying enjoying the warysom ted of our farm and have many warysom Some steps I have not had no noledg of our friends in kentucky for some time and it seems as our onst hapy home is almost forgot The war it seams has reased but thare is a numberless host of Wounded Soldiers widows and orphans who it seams has no more of a plase in our land and bread was not for thare food I have not heard of brother P Petr Miner for some time and I am in hops if we are s scatred from See to see we may join a gane if you know whare brother petr is you will please give me information Uis Eliza ann Updilne and family is all in good health but thar oldst sone he is in the inrayant arylum and sends her bst respects to you all Andrson Duncan and family is all in good health and is living near the greensburg depo With much pleasu re I now drop you a few lines to inform you of my inabilities my health is about [Crossed Out] as usual but if we live in hops we will not dye in dis pair you will please give my best respects to all and [Crossed Out] axcept of the same yourselfe Thomas M Duncan I have nothing more to inform you of at presant only remaining yours untell Death Allen and Elizabth Duncan to Sarah Nichols
