After much consideration on the subject, I have resolved, that as an advertising medium for my business, a little paper with s[u]ch news as the [t]own can afford, would suit my customers better than sell them premiums etc.  Whereas you can see on these pages what your neighbor does, instead of going out and looking it up, as of old.  We do not expect to compete the journalistic world of the present day in putting out a first class news paper.  But to make our trade still better and make fun for the public. LOCAL NEWS J.B.McCormick is on the sick list.  Miss.Kate Sciscoe of Indianapoli[s] is visiting her parents east of town.  CRACKER JACK 5c.  Squirrels will be ripe after Tuesday.  Miss.Ethel Taylor was visiting in Bedford last week.  FISH 35 Cents.  Sam Burris is the champion fisherman, by way of a curiosity having caught a "Spoon Billed Cat Fish" the first seen by many here.  J.E. Luzzader made his weekly visit to patients in Harrodsburge last FrIDAY.
