There was 25 tickets sold from here to Louisville Sunday. Jack has a little brother, his name is CRACKER JACK. Price 5c At CARTERS. Lelia Duncan left Tuesday to attend the Monroe, Co., Normal held at Bloomington. William Vaught while firing the engine at Drakes saw mill, became over heated, and had to be brought home, but is much better now.

A Success Was the Festival given by the young ladies of the M. E. Church in the School house Grove Saturday Eve. They were liberally patronized to the amount of about $24.00 Which shows that it pays toadvertise. Bud Ridge an employe of the Monroe Co., stone Co., narrowly escaped the loss of his eye, Monday. While driving a steel key in one of the drills on a chandler when a piece flew off penetrating the eye ball. The Smithville tracks were, swamped with trains Tuesday causing a few minutes delay of the north bound mail. John Heaton & Dave Carmicheal were in town Tuesday.
