              THE DALE NEWS  VOL 1  FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 25, 1938  NO. 7   Florence Bockstahler Dies In Cincinnati   Miss Florence Bockstahler, age 42, daughter of Mrs. Clarence Bockstahler of Dale, died suddenly Wedneeday at her home in Cincinnati.  Miss Bockstahler has been a Nures for many years and at the time of her death was nurse in a Cincinnati hospital.  She leaves to mourn her departure, her mother of Dale, but who has been making her home for a while in Cincinnati, one sister Mrs. Avis Swaney of London, Ohio, two brothers, Carl and Robert Bockstahler of Cincinnati.  Burial will be at Cincinnati Saturday.  Patriotic Program Held The Dale Home Economic's Club held its regular meeting on Tuesday, February 22, at the home of Mrs. E. Witte, with Mesdames C. Schaaf and J. Kokomoor and Miss Weedman as assistant hostesses.  Mrs. George Linhardt presided over the business meeting, after which a patriotic program was given. Twenty-four members responded to the roll call by naming some prominent person of today. Mrs. Sprinkle gave a demonstration on Mexican cigars and porcupine salad and favors. Little hatchets were given as favors.  Special guests were Mesdames K. K. Kennedy and Frey and Miss Tableman of Lamar. Misses Fae Witte and Marguerite Heichelbech were dressed in costumes and sewed during the evening.  Rev. and Mrs. Rev. Kurz of Holland were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Linhardt and daughter Mary Lou Wednesday.   Mr. Emil Erhardt returned to Cincinnati after several days visit with Gus. Klawitter.  Mr. and Mrs. O. I. Mrs. Ethel Willis Passes Away  Mrs. Ethel Willis, who has been making her home with Mrs. Clara Hile for some time, was taken to St. Mary's hospital in Evansville last week because of blood poisoning, caused from carbuncle on her neck. On Saturday, February 19 she died and was brought back to her sister's, Mrs. J. B. Whitaker of Lincoln City.   She was the daughter of Anna and Andrew J. Rhodes and was born June 7, 1893. At the time of her death she was 44 years, 8 months and 12 days old.  She is survived by one son Gene Willis of Louisville, Ky., one sister, Mrs. J. B. Whitaker of Lincoln City, two brothers Sylvester of Lincoln City and Carl of Dale.  Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at Lincoln City with Rev. A. W. Jarboe of Santa Claus M. E. Church officiating.  "How can you say that you were not responsible for this accident," asked the lawyer. "Weren't you driving when it happened?" "Yes," said the accused man, "I was. But my wife was sitting in the rear seat."   Mrs. George Heady Buried In Dale  Mrs. Tillie Heady age 65, wife of George Heady of Indianapolis, died suddenly at her home of a heart attack on Tuesday, Feb.22, 1933.  Mrs. Heady had paid her insurance premium to the insurance agent, and as he started to leave and go down the stairway, he was called back by her husband and she was dead. Mr. Heady said his wife had closed the door and dropped dead,  She is survived by her husband, three daughters and four sons of Indianapolis and one son Thomas of Evansville. There are several nieces and nephews in Dale that survive.  The Heady's formerly lived here, all their children having been born in Dale. They moved to Indianapolis after the children became grown.  Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 1:30 P. M. in the Dale Presbyterian church with burial in the Dale Cemetery.  Special Judge For Damage Suit   Trial of the $10,000 damages suit of Lucile Meyer of Holland against John Edward Michel of Dale for personal injuries received in an automobile accident three miles south of Holland Feb. 7, 1935, was brought to a sudden stop in circuit  ourt here this morning when motion was filed for a change of judge soon after the trial was started.  Judge Herdis F. Clements of Mt. Vernon was named as special Judge.
