LEFT TO RIGHT, BOTTOM ROW - Robert Wahl, Junion Ritchie, Teddy Medcalf, Student Manager Raymond Schum, Bill Pinter, Allen Brooner, and Walter Singer Dale's Golden Aces Win Sectional The Golden Aces, coached by Hurst Livengood, brought home the bacon again Saturday night by defeating Boonville in a double overtime game of the sectional. The score was 32 to 30. This brings another fine trophy to be placed in the trophy case of the Dale High School of which everyone ought to be proud. The Golden Aces have done some mighty fine work this year and are going into the regional game at Evansville tomorrow night (Saturday) to fight until the last. Late hope they come through victorious again. Mrs. Clarence Otto and little daughter Janice visited several days in New Albany with her sister Mrs. C. C. Day. Mrs. Will Schaaf will be hostess at her home on Tuesday night, March 15, entertaining her Home Economic's Club. Mr. and Mrs. Ora Ranger moved this week on the William's farm. Mr and Mrs. Harb. Cooper of Holland spent Tuesday with sisters, Mrs. Henry Smith and Mrs. Oma Adams. Charles Bockstahler is sporting a new V-8 Ford since last week. P. T. A. Meeting Held At The Gym Dale P. T. A. held its regular meeting Tuesday night at the High School gym. Mrs. Ben Dugan, President was in charge. Following the business meeting a program was given: Song Audience Violin Solo Mr. Nation accompained by Mrs. H. Wedeking Duet Mrs. Ella Stone and Mrs. Elvina Kelly Piano Solo Jennette Medcalf Vocal Solo Benno Schum Song Audience. Social hour followed the program. On April 12, a basket supper will be held and election of officers. Charles Williams, of Bloomington, spent the week end in Dale with friends and relatives. Mrs Oma Adams visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Cooper at Chrisney. Ruth Schroer, who is attending Indiana University at Bloomington, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Schroer. Miss Lois Brown, of Evansville, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Brown. Terrible Wreck At Postoffice Corner Another awful tragedy of the year, occurred Thursday night, at the corner near the postoffice. Bernard Bumm, age 31, son of Cyprm Bumm, was driving a Chevrolet Coupe and was coming west on highway 62 and when he came to the intersection of highway 62 and 45 he didn't stop but started across highway 45, striking a large Evansville refrigerator truck that was loaded with meat. The truck was going north. Bumm is said to have been going about 40 miles an hour and the awful impact pushed the side of his car in, killing him instantly. The driver of the truck was uninjured and his truck had only minor damages. Three Arts Club The March meeting of the Three Arts Club was held on Monday evening at the home of Mrs. Cecil Jenkins. The hostesses were: Misses Esther Vogel and Geneva Fortune. The following program was presented "Origin of Pierrot and Pierrette", Topic "The Maker of Dreams" (A Fantasy), Review Miss Grace Thompson "Accent on Youth", by Mrs. Louanna Kaiser "Pierrette", Piano C. Chaminade by Mrs. Louise Wedeking Humorous Reading by Mabel Wedeking "How to Win Friends and Influence People" Book Review - Oaanegit by Miss Irene McDaniel The April program will be a "Rainbow Program" with Mrs. Hurst Livingood and Miss Nell Clark as hostesess. Mrs. C. M. Sprinkle Mrs. Linhardt, Mrs. Ernie Stein and Mrs. Arliegh Bruce attended a Home Economics leader's meeting at Rockport Friday. Miriam Wedeking, who is in college, spent the week end with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A J. Wedeking. Boost For The Dale Aces
