Dear Sir;
Well here I am in India. boy what a country wish you could see it, we have lots of fun
trying to carry on a conversation with the natives in their language. (Hindustan). Twenty
of us have a barer who keeps our books, our shoes shined and does part of our laundry for
twenty five Rupee’s per mo. which is Eight Dollars of our money.
Their money is very easy to get accustom to would send you some but it won’t pass the
Censor, our money will buy three times as much her as in the states.
I have received your sixteenth letter, & am in hopes, of another soon, as mail is about the
only thing that keeps your moral up, over here will write you as often as possible, but as
things are in the present we don’t have too much spare time, tell all the fellows I said
hello, I have been several places in this world the past year and none of them are without
the Red Cross, they are really doing a swell job.
Ans. Soon
