MR. AND MRS. GILBERT S. ADES
DEAR MR. AND MRS. ADES:
ENCLOSED YOU WILL FIND A COPY OF THE SPEEDOMETER, A LITTLE PAPER WHICH IS ISSUED BI-WEEKLY BY THE LOUISVILLE CEMENT CORPORATION FOR ITS EMPLOYEES AT THE SPEED MILL. HEREIN YOU WILL FIND TWO REFERENCES TO YOUR SON WHO RECENTLY GAVE HIS LIFE IN THE SERVICE OF HIS COUNTRY.
WE HAVE TWO HONOR ROLLS HERE AT SPEED. THE ONE IN THE MILL PROPER LISTS ONLY THE NAMES OF FORMER EMPLOYEES WHO ARE IN THE SERVICE, WHILE THE ONE AT THE COMMUNITY HOUSE LISTS THE NAMES OF RESIDENTS OF OUR COMMUNITY AS WELL AS FORMER EMPLOYEES. A GOLD STAR HAS BEEN PLACES BESIDE THE NAME OF YOUR SON ON EACH OF THESE HONOR ROLLS.
WE WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT OUR THOUGHTS AND SYMPATHIES ARE WITH YOU IN YOUR SORROW, AND THAT WE ARE PROUD TO HONOR GILBERT AS AN EMPLOYEE AND FRIEND.
