DEAR NORMAN:
YOUR NICE LETTER WITH THE CHECK FOR $25.00 ENCLOSED WAS RECEIVED YESTERDAY. IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME TO ANSER ALL OF MY MAIL AS PROMPTLY AS THIS, BUT SURELY SUCH A LIBERAL GIFT DESERVES ACKNOWLEDGING AT ONCE. ABOUT A MONTH AGO I WAS WORRIED BECASUE THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR OUR PARTIES WAS FALLING OFF SO MUCH THAT I WAS AFRAID I WOULD HAVE TO STOP HAVING THEM. HOWEVER, I HAVE HAD SEVERAL NICE DONATIONS LATELY--OF WHICH YOURS IS THE LARGEST--SO I AM SURE WE CAN GO ON FOR SEVERAL WEEKS NOW AND I FEEL SURE THE MONEY WILL COME IN AS WE NEED IT.
ALL YOU FELLOWS OUT IN WASHINGTON STATE KEEP WRITING ME ABOUT THE BEAUTIES OF THAT COUNTRY UNTIL I HAVE ABOUT DECIDED THAT IF I EVER GET ANOTHER VACATION AND CAN FIND ENOUGH MONEY TO MAKE THE TRIP, WASHINGTON WOULD BE A SWELL PLACE TO VISIT.
THANKS FOR THE NICE SET OF POSTAL CARDS. I HAD NEVER HEARD OF THE PLACE CALLED DRY FALLS. IF IT WAS AS GREAT A WATERFALL AS THE CARD CLAIMS, IT REALLY MUST HAVE BEEN SOMETHING. I HAVE SEEN NIAGARA AND IT IS HARD TO IMAGINE ONE FORTY TIMES AS LARGE.
WELL, NORMAN, WRITE AGAIN WHEN YOU HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY AND THANKS A LOT FOR THE CHECK.
SINCERELY,
JESSE G. DORSEY
