Two evening programs are being arranged for, the first on Saturday night, April 30th, and the second on Sunday evening, May 1st. Every Sunday school in the township is urged to take the part assigned to them in this work and thus assist in advancing the splendid cause of the Sunday school. Superintendents, please take it upon yourselves to become an ardent booster for this movement, and urge upon all who are interested in this work to roll up their sleeves and go into it to win. You will help your own school when you lend your services to the large circle in this good cause. Throw away your hammer, and get a good stiff pry-pole and lift with all your might. Let us go into it, that our strength might be known to all the whole township and surrounding country. A full announcement of the program with the line of parade will likely be given next week. “Every member of every Sunday school” is our slogan, and let us work to that plan. _____________________ THE RESEARCH CLUB The April meeting of the Research Club will be held with Mrs. George Locke at 2:00 o’clock Thursday afternoon, April 14th. This is the annual election of officers and for that reason all members are requested to be present on time so that the work may all be taken care of. Attention is also called to the fact that the meeting will be at Mrs. Locke’s residence instead of Mrs. Scott’s, as announced in the program booklets. Kirkendall, aged 41byears, 11 months and 10 days, died early Sunday morning of lockjaw, following an injury to his fingers during the fore part of the week. He was attempting to drive through a gate and in some manner his hand was caught between the post and the vehicle in which he was riding, mashing his fingers almost off. He apparently was getting along fine and nothing was expected to result from the injury other that the loss of a finger or so. Friday evening he was attacked with lockjaw and on Sunday morning answered the call to the great beyond. He leaves, besides his widow, four daughters and two sons besides a host of other relatives and friends who will mourn their loss.
