Eagle Scout Project
Restores and
Rededicates
Cemetery
James Parsons, Charlie Morris, and Jay Freeman, all great- great
grandsons of Joshua Freeman, one of two Civil War veterans buried
in Freeman Cemetery.

Candy points out that one
farm is a replica of the Tait
family farm in Tennessee, one
of her family lines. She adds to
the village each year and is
particularly pleased with this
year’s addition, the grave yard,

and the Greentown Historical
Society.
Joyce Higginbottom told
some details of various people
buried there. Allen Moore read
a Roll ofRemembrapce of each
person buried ’ in the cemetery
as Jon Ayers tolled the bell at
the reading of each name.
There was a silk rose at each
grave, supplied by a 4* great-granddaughter
of Wright and
Anna Cook. She lives in
Arkansas. Eleanor Ray1 read a
letter from a descendant of
Jesse and Rachel Eilis who
lives in New Orleans.

offering 15% off during the
month of December. There are
coasters and pictures by Patti
Host,’ as well as Greentown
Heritage afghans, jewelry,
books, and other items.
Vehicle
Break- ins
Reported
Greentown Marshal Jeff
Bennet reports that there has
been a rash of vehicle
break- ins. In the past month
there have been three reported
in Greentown and several in the
county, both east and west. He
reminds people to secure their
vehicles, and not leave any
items of value in them. Stolen
items have been CD’s, cell
phones, money, identification
cards, and vehicle stereo
systems.
