The picture above of the Greentown Grapevine staff expresses celebration for a new calendar year and for the beginning of a second year of publication of our local newspaper. By wearing the hats made out of newspapers, we are also saying that we all have other occupations and, for part of each month, put on our " newspaper hats." On the front row, left to right, is Sharon Oldaker, responsible for the monthly calendar, who is employed at Nestle Foods in Kokomo; Sandy Turner, who writes the business of the month articles, who is a self- employed certified professional resume4 writer; Rachel Jenkins, Hunter- Gatherer for the Grapevine ( plus ad sales, writing, layout, etc.) who is otherwise employed as photogsapher, etc. at Jenkins Studio; Jolene Rule, feature writer and bookkeeper, who is a secretary in engineering at Delco; Tom Manderfield, who pours over old newspapers for Flashback items, who is an engineering supervisor at Delco. Standing is Mary Miller, who oversees distribution and is co- Implement Company Suffers Tragedy - Continues To Serve Customers owner, manager at Greentown True Value Hardware; and Kent Waddelow, who delivers most of the papers, ( seen here ready to toss a copy).
