Grapevine Volume 2, Issue 2 " a paper for the people February 1995 AT B y Renda Townsend The author sits, politely signing her latest mystery for her adoring fans at the Library Book Signing Party. Yet, moments later one of those in attendance is dead. Poisoned, in front of over 100 people. Who could have done it? Sure, there are suspects. All of the primary charactersare seemingly benign types, yet none of them is without enemies. There was the author herself, the head librarian, the book publisher, the book store owner, the popular actress, the book critic, and the mayor. They all could have done it, but why? That is what Sam Slayed, the Chief of Police, AND you will have to find out. The murder happens r i g h t h e r e i n Greentown, and the good news is that you haven't missed it yet! On February 25, 1995, the Greentown Public Library is hosting a murder mystery, " Murder at the Library" written by Tom and Penny Warner of Danville, California. The play will begin at 790 p. m. in the Greentown Public Library. Valerie Dailey, Greentown Technical Services Librarian, and Mindy Hobensack, Greentown C i r c u l a t i o n Librarian, play the parts of DIRTY HARRIET and DANNO COLUMBO, respectively, the assistants to the Police Chief. The play is under the direction of Renda Townsend, Assistant Director of the Greentown Public Library. You probably never thought that murder could be fun, but this is interactive and even more e n t e r t a i n i n g a n d satisfying than watching O. J.! One hundred tickets will go on sale in the Greentown Public Library and the Children's Library on Feb. 13th at $ 7.50 a ticket.
