About this collection

Indiana State Library

During the Great Depression of the 1930s, the United States government created programs to provide people with jobs.  The Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) program helped create state parks and make them available for community usage.  The Library has a large collection of these and will be adding more over time.

This collection includes the newsletters from the following CCC camps in Indiana:

The Arrow (Ripley Co.)

The Call Master (Posey Co.)

Camp Chatter of Company 517 (Jackson Co.)

Camp Clifty Clarion (Jefferson Co.)

The Chronicle (Greene Co.)

The Comet (White Co.)

Ditch Dots and Dashes (St. Joseph and Jay Cos.)

Flying Chips (Morgan Co.)
