Gene was generous to her friends and those who aided in her work. Sharing her photographs with people of the community was common, as was gifting those especially close with leather bound editions of her books. (see note)
This elderly gentleman is reading the Sault Ste. Marie News paper in a rather rustic setting. His white beard does not detract from the sharpness of his eyes. His hands show interesting discoloration. We have not found any of Gene's writing...
