In the 1960's, Anderson adopted the city slogan "Redbud Capital of the World" and made an assiduous attempt to plant redbud trees. This photograph of Morrison Hall, a freshman girls dormitory, is seen through the redbud trees on the campus.
Built in 1948 and named for John A. Morrison, college president, Morrison Hall was the first dormitory on the Anderson College campus. It is still in use and is now the freshman girl's dorm.
