The farmhouse of the Warren Terry family was also the location of the Post Office at Winona in the 1890's. Mail was delivered to the Post Office on horseback and held there for pickup by residents.

In 1927 Fred M. White sold a part of his farm to developers who built the Bass Lake Golf Course. The farmhouse was used as the Clubhouse until the 1970's.
