This document came with the original plat of Oakwood Park. It was received for record on April 16, 1896 by J.R. Williams, the Recorder of Kosciusko County.
This photograph shows a woman gardening at Oakwood Park, Lot 1. Lot 1 was known in the early years of Oakwood Park as Fredericks' Island. Camp Comfort's name was later changed to "Home Comfort." By 1905, porches had been added to the original house.

This photograph shows the front side of the original Hirschman cottage at Oakwood Park. The cottage to the left is the "Pioneer" cottage and was owned by the Hettler family.
