The Crystal Gardens on Bass Lake held a dance every night of the week except Monday night during the summer. The ballroom and hotel were located at the south end of Bass Lake. The advertisement is taken from a 1932 issue of the Bass Lake Times.

This image is an original ticket sold for a boxing show or fight on July 4th. Throughout the years the Crystal Gardens, built around 1925 was a sight for dancing to big bands, roller skating, boxing and many other forms of entertainment.
Shadyside Park was dedicated in 1923 to the Veterans of all Wars. It covers 38.1 acres and is Anderson's largest park. The Japanese Gardens are still part of the park and have been recently re-furbished.
