Description	A film negative of the road sign that marks the Buckingham Base Line south of Haysville, IN. The Buckingham Base Line is the starting point for surveying the land east and west, done by Ebenezer Buckingham Jr. following the Buffalo Trace. The sign reads: "Buckingham's Base Line. This primary east-west survey line was established by Surveyor-General Jared Mansfield and run by Surveyor Ebenezer Buckingham, Jr., in 1804. It intersects the Second Principal Meridian in Orange County at Pivot Point." Keywords: sign, marker.
