Description	This photograph has created a great deal of interest. Not for the danger of tipping the chair, but because of the mounted deer head. It seems incongruous that a man who refused to allow guns on his 240 acre farm, would have a mounted head in his home, or a woman who would spend hours cleaning oil from a bird's feathers. The identity of the child is not known. The size of the photograph, however, is similar to others taken by Gene. Note the plates above the mantle. The Porters were great collectors with many built-in glassed in shelving units.
