Description	In June of 1899, during the thirteenth annual encampment of the Sons of Veterans, division of Indiana, Charles Porter was unanimously elected to the office of senior vice commander. The report appeared in the Friday, June 16 edition of the Geneva Herald. With it appeared a small portrait that was probably taken from this photograph.
