Title	North Madison Roundhouse

Description	This is a picture of the roundhouse at the top of the hill (North Madison) along with several outbuildings used for the upkeep and repair of the trains. It was situated nearly on the crest of the hill with what would later be called "the cut" just to its west. Ritchie Street (now called State Road 7) bordered on the east and Clay Street (now Green Road) enclosed it on the north end. Within these confines were the machine shops, foundries and forges needed to service the engines. There was a grand turntable to maneuver the trains about. It was built in 1851 and was sometimes called "the coliseum". It would stand for about 55 years, then in 1906 it would be pulled down.
